Brand new design

As you probably noticed, our website has been completely redesigned! We are currently working on the new version of sobees web (coming soon!) and thought it would be great to have our website match the application a little more.
The main changes concern the homepage, where you could previously find sobees web. You will now be able to access the application from the following link:

www.sobees.com/web


Or simply go to our homepage and click on the sobees web button
Regarding the application itself, we listened to your feedback and reduced the size of the top bar, letting more room for your streams.
As written above, the sobees web update will come out very soon, so stay tuned!

sobees Is Awarded The CTI Start-Up Label

We're excited to announce that CTI, the Swiss Confederation’s Innovation Promotion Agency, has awarded sobees with the CTI Start-up Label.
The CTI label is awarded to approximately 20 Swiss companies every year following an in-depth analysis of their intellectual property, technology, management team, business and financial planning. You can learn more about CTI Start-up here.


We'd like to take this opportunity to thank CTI Start-up, Swissnex and especially our CTI Coach Pascal Dutheil . Pascal is one of the first person who was told about our project and he has been constantly supporting us right from that point. sobees Wins Best of Swiss Silverlight 2009

Today sobees received the Gold Award at the Best of Swiss Silverlight 2009 for sobees web. The competition was held within “Shape – The Web Conference”, a conference orientated towards new web technologies and organized by Microsoft Switzerland.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organizers and especially Microsoft for their support through the Bizspark program.

New Help section

Starting today, we now provide you with an up-to-date Help section for bDule and sobees web (in addition to the sobees one which was already available)! We just published the 2 first articles: While implementing services and features of a high level, we aim to create a user experience as easy as possible. Therefore, we obviously think a lot about our future development, and the way we could “keep it simple”, but we also wanted to provide additional support. This is why we are publishing this new Help today. We will be adding articles regularly based on your questions and comments.

Major update of sobees – 0.9.6.6 – and miscellaneous news

We’ve been rather busy of late with bDule’s success. We are pleased to announce that we are now ready to update sobees.

This is a major new release with countless new features, improvements and fixes.

In brief the new version of sobees has a smaller ribbon (which can auto-hide), new themed windows or “bDules” and support for new services digg. Oh, and we improved the support of some of our existing services like Flickr and Facebook. (See attached release notes for details.)

bDule vs. sobees

So we now have two products. Let’s clear up how they relate to one another.

bDule is our starter kit. If you are a social network user and are looking for the best Windows Twitter and Facebook client, you need look no further.

bDule is a single window application. It is easy to install and requires minimal setup (no account required). It is also light weight and runs well on netbooks.

sobees offers much more than bDule. It is a multi window application where each window is like bDule. The “bDules” in sobees offer more services and more customization options than bDule. Plus sobees has the ability to share almost anything you discover using any of many services supported by sobees, such as Twitter or Facebook or digg.

What are we working on now?

We are working on an even simpler, cross platform, web version of bDule, to be released this July. We are also working to add cool new social networking services to bDule and to move bDule out of alpha soon.
