We recently released  a new version of sobees integrating Facebook friend’s activities (status update + photos) as well as the possibility to share any item to Facebook, Twitter or Friendfeed. This version also removed the dependency for SQL CE 3.5 during installation. Several other fixes and enhancements were also released.

At the same time, we published a new module for Icanhascheezburger addicts. You can now get the feed automatically updated in a module directly on your desktop. And if you like a picture, share it easily with your Twitter, Facebook or Friendfeed community.

Sobees private beta preview has been launched in Spring 2008 and we would like to thank you for your interest and feed-backs. We have now closed the private beta preview and we are developing the public beta which will be launched in Fall 2008.
Based on your feed-backs, the experience we gathered and some mistakes we made, we have redesigned sobees to bring a much better and easier user experience.

What are the differences

Sobees will keep a modular approach but will better integrate the modules to avoid performance issues and loss of space on the desktop. Modules we will be grouped in a window while platform elements like menu, community, search and tabs will be better organized to provide a less disruptive user experience. We focus more on the end user process rather than the functionalities and the design which will remain key to making the experience easy but will be less prominent.

First application

Our first application in this regard was an application for tracking the European soccer competition Euro 2008. Based on the success of this application, we have launched a generic News application: just enter some keywords (sports, people, hobbies…) to get news, videos, pictures and tweets regarding your topics. The application is available in English, French and German.

We just released a new version of bTT now integrating FriendFeed + Twitter. Based on your feed-backs, we have made substantial changes:

• Friendfeed and Twitter in one flow (no duplicates)
• New design
• Sizeable window
• Comments and likes now directly integrated in the main flow instead of the lateral tray
• Possibility to show/hide all comments
• Possibility to post on Twitter and FriendFeed

And we kept the goods:

• Filter by service
• Filter by text
• Easy adaptation of the font size
• Pictures displayed as a slide show

bTT is available here . It has been released as a separate application from bTittleTattle as sobees designs have not been integrated yet and we do not want to break your experience if you are enjoying bTittleTattle.
